Board of Education to begin Community Listening Sessions
The first in a series of five Community
Listening Sessions will be held by the Floyd County Board
of Education on Thursday, August 21 at Cave Spring Elementary
School. There will
be a session in each of the high school districts and in Cave
Spring in the next few weeks. The sessions will begin
at 6:30 p.m. at the respective schools.
The board wishes to use this time
to hold a discussion with the community regarding the progress
of the school system and hopes for the future. Each session will begin with
entertainment from a school in the community. The entertainment
will be followed by a short presentation about progress in
the system and each will conclude with open questions from
the audience. All parents and interested community members
are invited to attend the sessions.
The schedule for the meetings includes:

meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the school auditorium

from the other person’s point of view with the intention
