The Halloween season can be a frightful time but the teens in Model High Schoool's FBLA decided to emphasize treats over tricks this year for children at Model Elementary.  As a service project, Model High's FBLA Chapter assembled 300 bags of candy and Halloween prizes and delivered them to the Pre-K through 1st-grade students at Model Elementary.

The project was planned in conjunction with the Model Elementary Fall Festival.  Model High FBLA member, Tiffany Crooks managed the project.  Bill Hosmer, FBLA advisor, said,  "Tiffany took charge of the project from beginning to end and did a great job organizing the people and the product."

FBLA students who contributed candy and stayed after school to assemble the bags got to dress up in costume and be part of the delivery team.  Those who delivered candy were Tiffany Crooks, Jada Mcgill, Michaella Wood, Noora Khateeb, Brylen Cantrell, Greyson Turley, Selena Dowdy, Jhaylan Redwine, Trysten Pledger, Emma Madox, Madison Geier, Tia Owens, Hunter Ricks, Barrett Schroeder, Jacob Walters, Emily Hicks, Sam Bryant, Katerina Creel, Ashlee Cowart, Emily Falcitelli, and Lanaya Taylor.

"This is the second year FBLA has done this project," Hosmer commented. "Students at both schools had a lot of fun with the project."

To thank the high school students for their efforts, students from Model Elementary School created and presented a banner to thank FBLA last year.  The banner included handprints and the names of the children impacted by the project at Model Elementary School.
