The eyes of more than a few parents were moist as they watched their second-graders walk across the stage and collect their completion certificate for successfully finishing primary school prepared to move to third-grade. The ceremony was held Tuesday morning in Pepperell High School's auditorium.
Each child marched across the stage to confidently collect a certificate from their teacher while proud parents took pictures or videotaped the milestone.
At the end of the ceremony, the children rose to sing for their parents. The rising third-graders sang an adaptation of "Shake It Off" by Taylor Swift to new words about what they have learned in primary school.
After the ceremony, the young learner changed into their play clothes and enjoyed a special hot dog picnic with their parents.
