Armuchee High School recently received the highest ranking of any Northwest Georgia high school on the School Digger website.  Armuchee High was ranked number 51 out of 429 Georgia high schools to score the highest ranking in the area on the report. The website is schooldigger.com.
"It is great to be recognized for the successes of our students and the hard work of our teachers, commented Dr. J.C. Burris, principal of Armuchee High School.  "We are coming off one of the best academic years in the history of AHS and I congratulate Armuchee students and teachers on this success!

According to the School Digger's website, the organization ranks schools based on test scores supplied by each state's Department of Education. The organization calculates an Average Standard Score by normalizing and averaging each school's test scores across all tests and grades. That average score is then sorted to provide a ranking.
