Applications for the program will be available at each school in the system offering a Pre-K class beginning on Monday, February 2. Completed forms should be turned-in to the local school. To be eligible for Pre-K, a child must be four-years-old on or before September 1, 2016.
Pre-K slots are not filled on a first come basis so it is not necessary to be first in line on the first day of registration. This means that applications received on the first and last day of the application period will have an equal opportunity to be selected to participate in the program. Names will be randomly drawn from applications received to fill the number of spaces available at each school site. All applying for the program will be notified by mail concerning the status of their application by the end of February.
