The stage is set and the endless hours of rehearsals are over for Model High drama students ready to bring the stage performance of "Oklahoma" to Shannon.  Show times will be 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday evening and 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the Model High School auditorium.  Admission for the show is $5.00.

All of the students have put in numerous rehearsal hours to make this production possible including learning lines, dance routines, painting and putting together the set," commented Lacey Pinson, drama teacher at Model High. "We want to give a special thanks to the Floyd County Schools College and Career Academy and their students for helping with the set."  The Model High maintenance staff was also instrumental in getting the set ready for the show. "Everyone has been so cooperative to help us," added Pinson.

This is a special performance because 30 years ago, in 1985, students from Model High also presented "Oklahoma" for the community.
