FCS College and Career Academy robotics team places in competition

The Floyd County Schools College and Career Academy robotics team participated in their first competition of the year at North Forsyth High School this week.  From a field of 41 robotics teams, the two College and Career Academy teams finished in 3rd and 5th place to automatically qualify for the state tournament.  

The teams will compete twice in January with events scheduled in Marietta and Alabama.  With the top five placements in the first competition, the two teams are now qualified to compete in March at the state tournament to be held in Athens, Georgia.  

The members of the FCS College and Career Academy robotics teams included: Logan McBurnett, Ben Marsh, Ben Trotter, Tucker Brannon, Cory Johnson, Lane McCoy, and Brandon Edwards.
