The Fantasticks
Model High School's drama program has rehearsed the scenes and the stage is set for their second school musical.  The school will present "The Fantasticks" with shows on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. "We have a lot of talent at Model," said Lacey Pinson, drama and dance teacher at Model High. "The students have worked hard to put on an amazing show for the community."

"The Fantasticks" is a familiar romance story between what is thought to be rival families.  The twist is that the mothers of the two decided to play matchmaker and get the boy and girl together by concocting the feud to move the process along.  Why create the mythical conflict between families? Well, everyone knows that a child is more likely to do something, if the parents have said, "NO!"
Show times on Friday and Saturday will be at 7 p.m.  Sunday's performance will begin at 2:30 p.m.  "The Fantasticks" production will be held in the Model High School auditorium with a ticket price of $7.00.  Tickets will be on sale at the door.
